Home Invasion Suspect Arraigned

A man charged in connection with a home invasion last October in Muskingum County was arraigned in court Wednesday.
 

20-year-old Cory Erskine, Jr. appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court where he entered a not guilty plea to charges of aggravated burglary, kidnapping and aggravated robbery which all carry a firearm specification. He also plead not guilty to a theft charge.
 

Muskingum County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Erskine along with 29-year-old Chaise King in October of 2011 after authorities say they broke into a home on Old River Road, tied up a woman inside and committed a theft.
 

Last month, King was sentenced to three years in prison for the crime.
 

Erskine is being held in the Muskingum County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
