Homeless Hands Gears up for Annual Benefit Dinner
ZANESVILLE, OH – Homeless Hands of Zanesville is gearing up for a night full of fun, all for a good cause.
Homeless Hands’ annual benefit dinner is coming up on Saturday, March 15th, from 2 to 11PM at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.
Tammy Clark, the Executive Director, said this year they added a little twist to their benefit by also making it a casino night, with all of the proceeds heading back to Homeless Hands.
“We have stuff for all ages there, we have stuff for kids, we have the raffle items,” Clark said. “Baked steak dinner, it’s free to get in for anybody. Sweet Misery and Rock This Way will be playing, they go from 2 to 10, so we’ve got Sweet Misery playing first, Rock This Way second, and then the casino part is for adults only. They get to play with their ‘funny money’ and bid on the raffle stuff too.”
Clark said the proceeds from this benefit will go towards putting the finishing touches on the Community Center. She said the hope is to have it fully open to the public by April.
“Because we have a good time, we do have a good time! We have really good community support,” Clark said. “The homeless don’t come to the benefit, the benefit is to support our organization. It’s to benefit our organization, you know, to get people off the streets and stuff, it’s just a really good community and it’s a good time.”
