Honoring Andy Quinn with Music at The Barn

ZANESVILLE, OH – A local man’s legacy will take center stage this weekend. Andy Jam returns Saturday with live music and a lot of heart.

The 6th annual Andy Jam is set for May 17th at The Barn, bringing the community together to honor the life of Andy Quinn. Andy was an aspiring law enforcement officer who passed away in 2019 at just 31 years old. Four bands will take the stage over a 10-hour stretch to celebrate Andy’s life and raise money for a cause close to his heart.

“My son, Andy Quinn, passed away in 2019. He wanted to be a police officer and was actually on his way prior to having a viral infection which ultimately caused him to pass away in his sleep. So, this is a way to keep Andy’s spirit alive and provide an opportunity for somebody to achieve their dream of being a police officer,” Event Organizer Paul Quinn said.

Funds raised go to the Andy Quinn Memorial Fund, which is a program of NAMI Six County that advocates for mental health and addiction support across our region. The money raised will directly benefit cadets at the Zane State College Police Academy.

“It’s going to be a great opportunity for the community to come out, get involved in fellowship, and have a good time while supporting a great cause. The money this year is going to be used for scholarships at Zane State for their law enforcement program. For The Barn, it’s just an honor to be involved in such a great project,” Jim Watson, owner of The Barn said.

The music starts at 2 p.m. and keeps going until 11. Raffle drawings will also be held throughout the day. You can find all the event details on The Barn’s Facebook page.

The Barn is located at 1947 Linden Avenue in Zanesville.
