Hoofbeats 4H Saddle Show

Horseback riding is in full trot, giving one local saddle club a chance to raise some money.

The Hoofbeats 4H Saddle Club hosted an open horse show Sunday afternoon at the Muskingum County Fairgrounds.

"We teach youth of Muskingum County proper horsemanship and how to take care of their horse, we have riding practice every wednesday night, come to the fairgrounds show them how to walk, trot, and canter, back their horse," said 4H member Randy Roberts.

Roberts says there are a number of ways to get involved with horseback riding.

"Most of these people have been in 4 H, that’s the biggest way, but we have people that have like riding stables and give riding lessons, trainers that come," he said.

All proceeds from the show were donated to the Hoofbeats 4H Saddle Club.
