HS Football: Sheridan and Rosecrans on opposite ends of 40-7 scores

Down on the river, Sheridan gave the MVL a winning first weekend as they handled Bellaire 40-7. A young General team made few mistakes, and got better as the game progressed. The Sheridan win means that the Muskingum Valley League went 5-4 in the first weekend of play. Up in New Philadelphia, the shorthanded Rosecrans Bishops fell by that same 40-7 margin, falling to Tuscarawas Central Catholic.
