Hundreds Gather for 6th Annual ‘Feed The Children’ Event

Feed The Children, Avon, Christ’s Table, and the City of Zanesville teamed up for the sixth year in a row to help the Muskingum County Hunger Network on Friday.
Keely Warden, Executive Director at Christ’s Table said that they served around 800 families with supplies.
“At least 1,800 children will go away today with a box full of food, non-perishables, and the most important thing, a box full of Avon products,†said Warden. “We just want to thank the community for helping us put this together, we can’t thank Avon and Feed the Children enough and the City of Zanesville for helping us orchestrate this whole thing.â€
Glen Haynes, Inventory Analyst for Avon, said that organizing this event takes a lot of planning, but over the past years it’s become a lot easier with the amount of support that they get.
“We’re very fortunate to have the same volunteers coming back every year,†said Haynes. “All of the volunteers are from Avon and they love this event so much that they come back year after year.â€
Haynes and Warden would both like to thank everyone who had contributed to the event and making it the success that it is today.
