“I Am A Warrior” Suicide Prevention Organization Meets with County Commissioners

21 9 2 County Commissioners

DOWNTOWN ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Beth Ingram with ‘I Am A Warrior’ a suicide prevention and awareness organization met with the county commissioners to update and ask for help for her organization’s cause.

With an increased demand of schools wanting her signs on campus, and the funds to pay for them not keeping up, she has had to create a waitlist to deliver the signs to the schools.

“We’ve got the signs at 17 schools in Muskingum County. And right now I have 4 schools on a waiting list, and we’re trying to funds for that by the community. And anyone that has ears to hear,” Beth Ingram, founder of ‘I Am A Warrior’ stated.

Each sign costs $1,035.82, and with that price tag, the organization isn’t able to provide a sign to everyone who needs one. Beth also discussed with the county commissioners on ways the county could increase exposure on county property.

“I was asking them to put bumper stickers on all county vehicles. And these bumper stickers were made by Ron Bucci and they are ‘Warriors Against Suicide’ and they say a nationwide textline and the nationwide phone line. But most importantly right now for our community, it has a website. And this website is more than a suicide site,” Ingram said.

The website is described as a one-stop-shop for different suicide prevention and mental health organizations for varying occupations, situations, and backgrounds. Any donations to the cause can be made to the Muskingum County Community Foundation with the donation designated for ‘I Am A Warrior’.
