Indoor Farmers Market Wraps Up

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – Today was the last day for the indoor Farmers Market at Weasel Boy Brewing.
The indoor Farmers Market was created to extend the Farmers Market season. This gave vendors an opportunity to keep selling throughout the winter. The market was every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Farmers Market board member, Jessica Stonecypher, said the indoors market has been successful and they are happy to see so many community members pass through to shop every Saturday.
“Farmers have been real pleased with how this has gone, customers have been real pleased with how this has gone. I think Weasel Boy has enjoyed having us here. We’re just really excited about the community, and the way they’ve gathered around this event and just cheered us on,” Stonecypher said.
The Farmers Market board will sit down again to discuss their ideas on how to expand the market for next season. But there is a lot that goes into planning for the market and how to entertain the vendors and customers.
“There’s making sure we have a good venue, making sure we have proper parking. Making sure we have the amenities that the farmers need, if they having something to plug in or enough space to have their products displayed properly. Those are the main pieces there,” she said.
