Inmate From Frazeysburg Jumps To His Death

A Licking County jail inmate from Frazeysburg jumped to his death on Tuesday. The Sheriff’s Office reports that William Overbey intentionally jumped over a rail from the upper tier of a housing module and fell about 9 feet to the floor below. Overbey sustained serious injuries to the head and later died at Licking Memorial Hospital. The Sheriff’s Office says Overbey was on suicide watch and jumped as a deputy was approaching him to check on his well being. Overbey was being held on charges of felonious assault and child endangering.
