Interim Recorder Takes Oath of Office

The Muskingum County Commissioners have appointed an interim recorder.

Cindy Rodgers was sworn in on Monday at the Muskingum County Courthouse.  Her family and friends watched as she placed her hand on the Bible and took the oath of office.

"I’m feeling very excited," said Rodgers.  "It’s quite an honor and a privilege to be able to serve the residents of Muskingum County."

Rodgers is taking the place of Karen Vincent, who is stepping down to retire.  Rodgers said she has worked in the recorder’s office for the past 16 years, and she’s ready to take on the job.

"Like Karen, I believe in accurate, courteous and prompt service," said Rodgers.  "I will always strive to give the public the best service possible."

Rodgers will fulfill the rest of Vincent’s term and then run unopposed in the November election.
