Interstate 70 Sweeping Begins

The Ohio Department of Transportation announced that Interstate 70 will undergo lane restrictions this week near downtown Zanesville.

The City of Zanesville Street Department will be sweeping I-70 beginning Sunday night. The Maple Avenue and Underwood Street off ramps will both be closed.

Crews will work in the east bound driving lane Monday night, closing Maple eastbound on ramp, 5th and 7th Street off ramps.

Tuesday crews will be in the westbound passing lane and Wednesday they will be in the eastbound passing lane.

Thursday night will utilized to complete anything weather prevented.

Crews will work each night from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Drivers are asked to use caution and move over or slow down.
