Intoxicated Man Strikes Deer on County Road 274

COSCHOCTON COUNTY, Ohio – Coschocton County Sheriff’s Office released reports that an intoxicated man struck a deer while riding a 4-wheeler vehicle.
Shortly before 2 p.m. on Sunday, dispatch received the 911 call. Coschocton County EMS, AirEvac, Conesville Fire Department, and Prince’s Wrecker arrived at the scene. It was found that the 40 year old man was not wearing a helmet and was traveling Southbound on County Road 274. The man struck a deer and caused the vehicle to roll. Alcohol and speed are contributing factors in the incident. He was transported to Grant Hospital by MedFlight.
The accident remains under investigation.
