Investigation Continues in late night shooting

The investigation into a shooting incident in downtown Zanesville late Sunday Night is moving forward.

Zanesville Police Chief, Kenneth Miller, said around five shots were fired Sunday around 10:00 p.m. at 621 South Street. A man around 30 years old was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with a severely injured right arm. Miller said the man, whose name is not being released pending further investigation, suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He faces the possibility of criminal charges being filed against him. Police say they do not have another suspect but the incident remains under investigation.
