Joann Gill (August 16, 1936 – December 16, 2014)

Joann Gill, 78, of Zanesville, died at 7:33 A.M. on Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at the Genesis Good Samaritan CCU. She was born August 16, 1936, in Philippi, WV, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Violet Mayle Kennedy.

Surviving are her husband Gene I. Gill Sr., whom she married June 25, 1955; three daughters, Cindy (Barry) Sheets, Kim (Bob) Butler, and Kristy (Geoffrey) Harman, all of Zanesville; a son Gene (Tina) Gill Jr. of Duncan Falls; ten grandchildren, Steven, Megan, Ryan, Jason, Brad, Erica, Emily, Jacob, Jeremy, and Jamie; fifteen great grandchildren; three brothers, Dan (Janet) Kennedy, Fred (Roz) Kennedy, and Tim (Amy) Kennedy, all of Zanesville; two sisters, Jean Garrett and Velma Miller, both of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson Gene I. Gill III; and a brother Frank Kennedy.

Friends and family may call from 2:00-4:00 P.M. & 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2014, at the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, December 19, 2014, with Evangelist Keith Kress officiating. She will be laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery, Zanesville.
