Jobless Rates Jump In Region

The Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services Tuesday released the June jobless numbers in our area and all counties in our region saw an increase.

Morgan and Noble Counties had the highest rates in our region at 12.7%.

Next is Muskingum County at 12.2 % up from 11.6 % in May. Then it’s Coshocton (12%), Perry (11.7%) and Guernsey (10.4%) Counties.

The lowest unemployment rate in our area continues to be Licking County at 8.8 % – up from 8.2 % the month before.

Ohio’s jobless rate was 8.8 % up from 8.6 % in May.
