Join OUZ for a Screening of “King in the Wilderness”

ZANESVILLE, OHMartin Luther King Jr. Day may be over, but the celebrations continue as Black History Month approaches.

Ohio University Zanesville (OUZ) is still honoring Dr. King with a screening of “King in the Wilderness,” an HBO documentary that highlights Dr. King’s final years.

“Next week we are going to host a King in the Wilderness documentary,” OUZ Campus Communications Manager Heather Sands-Davis stated. “It’s hosted here on the Zanesville campus in conjunction with the Muskingum County Library System. It will be held next Monday January 27th at 4:30.”

This community event will be held at the OUZ library, where there is plenty of space for lounging and comfort while watching the film.

“We hope the community joins us,” Sands-Davis said. “Our students are here on campus, spring semester is underway and we’re just really excited to invite the community to come join us at these events in addition to students, faculty and staff.”

Please note that the documentary is rated TV-14 and contains scenes of violence, racism, and emotional distress. While these elements are presented in a historical context, they may still be upsetting to some viewers.
