July’s Art COZ Artist of the Month: Holly Gleason

ZANESVILLE, OH – This July, Art COZ is delighted to spotlight the Artist of the Month, Holly Gleason.

Gleason is a talented artist who works in both pottery and stained glass. Surprisingly, she only began her artistic journey a year ago when she started taking classes at Julie’s ARTery. Since then, she has poured her heart and soul into the craft, creating pieces that captivate and inspire. A part of Gleason’s growth as an artist has been letting go of her fears of imperfections.

“Often, what I am thinking about isn’t what actually comes out. I’ve had to let go of some fears of imperfections and learn to embrace when things don’t go how I think they will. Having an alternative plan, making corrections, and going with what we have,” Art COZ Artist of the Month Holly Gleason said.

Gleason’s enthusiasm for pottery and stained glass is infectious, and she encourages aspiring artists to take the plunge and explore their own creative potential.

“Embrace your creativity, don’t be afraid of those imperfections that you may have and don’t be afraid to learn new things. I am literally learning every single day about the science behind all of this art which is really cool,” Gleason said.

You can visit Julies ARTery at 53 S. 7th Street in Zanesville this Friday during the First Friday Art Walk to see or purchase some of Gleason’s beautiful creations.
