Junction City Independence Celebration
It may be a day after Independence Day, but the patriotic celebrations continued today across the state.
Juction City in Perry County was just one town to continue celebrating. The town held their 10th Annual Independence Day Celebration.
“It gets bigger every year,” said car show organizer Bill Devereaux. “I have 135 cars at the car show today. they like it every year. They come to it every year.”
The car show is just one part of the event, but it’s critical for the firework show held this evening. The proceeds from the car show pay for the fireworks.
“We’re going to have a little bit more this year,” he said. “As far as I know, yes. We’re up in the fireworks.”
Today’s festival also featured rides, a flea market, food, entertainment and a children’s tractor pull.
