ZANESVILLE, OH – This week’s K9 Adoption Center’s Dog of The Week is a pup who lives up to his name in every way.

Legend is an eight-month-old terrier mix. His endearing mix of shyness and friendliness towards both his canine companions and human friends makes him a standout at the center. Legend is on the lookout for a forever home where he can fully blossom and share his limitless love.

“He’s dog friendly and people friendly. He’s very easy going. With him only being a pup, you could teach him to do so many things. He loves affection. He’d be great with kids or a family that wants to have a dog who would lay beside them,” K9 Adoption Center Volunteer, Doug McQuaid said.

The K9 Adoption Center also emphasizes the value of fostering as a pathway to adoption. Fostering also plays a role in keeping the adoption center more manageable and can offer a unique insight into the pup’s personality, needs, and how they could fit into your home and family.

“Being a foster or a volunteer, you’re able to find out different things about the dog. It helps us with the people that come in that want to adopt a dog and it gives us a little information about the dog. Sometimes that helps actually get the dog adopted,” McQuaid said.
