Kelton Pleads Guilty to Marijuana Charge
A 21-year-old former Denison University student offers a change of plea in court this morning.
Jessica Kelton plead guilty to one count of possession of marijuana. Attorney Brian Waltz of the Licking County Prosecutor’s Office, says Kelton will complete one year of intervention. He says if she doesn’t finish it, she faces up to six months in prison, a fine, and losing her driver’s license.
The Granville Police Department took Kelton into custody last December after giving fellow student-Mya Price-a brownie that was laced with drugs. Price was taken to the hospital and treated for effects from the marijuana.
