Kiwanis Club annual Christmas party

Kiwanis Party

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s that time of year for holiday parties.

The Kiwanis Club held their annual Christmas party to spread a little extra holiday cheer to kids this season. Chairperson Bridget Tetak said their whole goal as a club is to give back to the kids of the community and that during this time of year it’s especially important.

“Well our whole mission is really revolving around kids and impacting kids in the community, you know one child and one community at a time,” said Tetak. “So it’s really important to us, especially this time of year to give back in a meaningful way.”

Tetak said its so much fun to see the kids at the party light up, especially when Santa comes, but also seeing the Key Club kids interact with the children and help out during the party.

“But we also have our Key Club kids here today and so they get to see the joy on the faces of the kids that they got to buy presents for and it’s really a give back for them as well,” said Tetak.

Tetak said the event is sponsored by the fundraisers Kiwanis does during the year and that it would not be possible without the support the community gives. She wants to say a special thank-you to all who donated during the year and made the party possible.
