Kiwanis Peanut Day

ZANESVILLE, Ohio -Â Today is Kiwanis Peanut Day, and members of the organization were outside of local grocery stores asking for donations in exchange for peanuts.
This is their biggest fundraiser of the year. WHIZ caught up with President of the Zanesville Kiwanis Club, Bridget Tetak, outside of Riesbeck’s this morning.
“It’s the first day. We are out on the street as well as storefronts like Riesbeck’s and Wal-Mart. Things are going good. We are off to a good start, a busy morning,” said Tetak.
They will also be outside of Riesbeck’s and Wal-Mart tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All donations go to great causes that help families in need.
Tetak said they use the money for their annual kids Christmas party, and ramp projects. They help people that need accessibility in and out of their homes.
Stop by one of the local stores tomorrow and donate to a great cause!
