Know Your Ballot, Plan Your Vote 2024
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – It’s that time of year when leaves turn color and yards are decorated with politician signs.
The Muskingum County Library System will be holding their annual ‘Know Your Ballot, Plan Your Vote’ informational forum, where voters can get a better perspective of who and what they’ll be voting for on their general election ballot.
“So we are going to be having all sorts of vendors there again this year. A chance to pick up more details from different groups and get all the information to decide. So come ask questions. We will take questions from the audience, of course,” MCLS Adult Services Manager Suzanne Helms said.
Many of the candidates that will appear on this year’s ballot will be on hand along with professionals explaining both sides of the issues as well as the importance of passing the levies. Information regarding the voting process, in addition to signup and registration procedures will also be available.
“That’ll be Saturday, September 28th. We are moving away from the evening weekdays trying to make it as accessible as possible, so more people can come out and find out what’s happening locally. And that will be from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. that day. So almost the whole day we’re open,” Helms said.
The Know Your Ballot, Plan Your Vote event at the John McIntire Library is sponsored by The Zanesville Chapter of the Business Professional Women along with the Muskingum County Social Justice Coalition. The event is free and open to the public.
