Koky’s Pizza Celebrates St. Patrick’s Day

ZANESVILLE, Ohio – A local pizza shop will be celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day, with Irish inspired foods.

Koky’s Pizza has decided to celebrate each holiday that they can and March 17, 2017 they are celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day. Owner Randy Case said his first idea to celebrate was to do a corned-beef and cabbage pizza after studying recipes, but thought maybe not everyone would want that for a pizza.

“I kind of already had an idea about the corned-beef and cabbage pizza,” Case said. “I’ve seen all these things where people were coloring dough and things like that. Green, I’m like well I’ll try it out. You know so I did and as you can see their green.”

Case said that he can see the kids especially having fun with the green crust pizza. However, he’s really looking forward to making Shepard’s Pie.

“I’m very much looking forward to making that, I love Shepard’s Pie,” Case said. “I always have and I’m basically basing it off of a recipe my grandmother made hers with. Which is what a large majority of my recipes are.”

Koky’s Pizza is located at 57 South Sixth Street in downtown Zanesville.
