LARRY HANES (March 26, 1944 – March 27, 2011)

Larry F. Hanes, 67, of Buttermilk Hill, McConnelsville, went home to be with his Lord, family, and friends on Sunday, March 27, 2011 at 12:00 pm at his home.

Larry was born March 26, 1944 in Zanesville to Francis (Frank) Hanes of Houston, Texas and the late Betty R. Engle Hanes who passed away July 22, 2010.

Larry’s professional occupations included being a self employed heating and air conditioning repairman, a bulldozer operator for Central Ohio Coal Company in Caldwell and he was a regional maintenance repairman for Super America. Larry enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Larry is survived by his devoted wife Sandy (Vincent) Hanes whom he married April 25, 1980; his sons Larry “Frank” Hanes of Columbus, Bud and Theresa Hanes of Columbus, David and Bobbie Holmes of Roseville, and Sheldon Holmes of Byesville; his daughter, Shelly and Mike Wood of Johnstown, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sisters Lorraine (Thomas) Lucas of Spartanburg, SC and Linda (Mike) Croswell of Houston, Texas, a special Brother and Sister- Jim and Sarah and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will be 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Thompson Farus Funeral Home, Duncan Falls where funeral services will be 1 pm Wednesday with Rev. Barbara Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Duncan Falls Cemetery.
