ZANESVILLE, Ohio-The Muskingum County Library is offering copies of “The Five Year Plan” by Christopher Scott Brooks.

Brooks is a native of Muskingum county and “The Five Year Plan” is his first published novel. Outreach services Manager of the library system Beth Brown has more information on what the library is doing to celebrate.

“We’re so excited to offer Christopher Scott Brooks’ book to the community. Just give us a call here at the library. We can put you on hold for this, and then what’s even more exciting is we are going to do a virtual meet the author on November 11th, so come in and get your copy of the book, read the book and then join us to talk with Christopher about his book.”

The book is about a man coming back to his hometown and starting a restaurant. Brown is proud to see an area native reach the heights that Brooks has.

“People who live in Zanesville, we go to school and we leave, and oftentimes we come back. So it’s really really cool to see a local person who goes away, makes it big and is very successful, and then writes a book to talk about his roots in Zanesville.”

You can reserve a copy of the book at any branch of the Muskingum County Library System.
