Local Author Inspiring Women

One local author’s candid account of pain and triumph is inspiring women all over the world.

In her new memoir, “What Does Love Have to Do with it,” Zanesville native, Mary DeYon gracefully takes readers on a journey through her life…from her challenges in a male dominated profession, to surviving two co-dependent relationships.

“It’s really a co-dependence memoir, I married guys just like daddy, I did not want to, and I told myself I would not, but you just do it, and so you know the subtitle is ‘Excruciating Lessons on my Path to Enlightenment,’ so it’s funny and it’s tragic,” DeYon said.

DeYon’s heartfelt story of survival encouraged her to serve as a life coach to many women living in co-dependent relationships. She said helping women overcome some of her same struggles is rewarding.

“It is so gratifying, you me chills just saying it, because it gives me chills everyday because they update me on progress, I just got one last week and it’s just amazing, they find me from my website and mostly from my podcasts,” DeYon said.
