Local Business makes a Paws-itive Partnership

ZANESVILLE, OH- B-Wear is now officially a part of the Paws-itive Partnership with the Animal Shelter Society.

B-Wear presented a check of $2,260 to the Animal Shelter Society’s executive director. They also donated supplies to the animal shelter such as pet food, toys, treats, laundry detergent and bleach. The donation allowed the animal shelter to purchase new dog and cat beds for their adoption rooms.

“B-Wear is actually pretty excited. We just released our pet collection and we thought what a great opportunity then to work with April out at the animal shelter society, you know I’ll be honest with you, we really had no idea everything that went on out there, so our staff went out and had a wonderful tour and you would not believe how wonderful April and her staff takes care of all of our furry friends,” said Senior Creative Director at B-Wear Julie Biles.

As the check was being presented, this week’s pet of the week Bella Ann was also in attendance. Bella Ann is a sweet two-year-old female dog that loves swimming pools, riding in cars and French fries.

“She is from the herding breeds, we have to make sure that when we have folks coming in and interested in adopting her that they understand that, that she doesn’t necessarily have to be on a farm at all but she’s going to be herding, she likes to herd folks and kids and that’s why we thinks it’s best that she be with a family with older children, you know 12 and older,” said Animal Shelter Society Executive Director April Gibson.
