Local Church is helping Furnish Homes

There is a place to donate food and clothing for people in need and now one local church is helping people in need get furniture.

Crystal Hatfield mother of two needed furniture and found help from The Lifewell Furniture Bank.

"It really was a blessing for me because i couldn’t afford furniture," Hatfield said.

Senior Pastor Jeff Kobunski of the Muskingum Valley Vineyard Church recognized the need.
So he’s helping turn houses into homes. He says their mission is to share God’s love by providing free donated furniture to help families like Crystal’s and she tells me is was so easy.

"All it took was a phone call and they put you on a waiting list and as soon as the come to you on the waiting list they call you to make arrangements for you to come pick out your furniture," Hatifield explains.

Crystal said Lifewell gave her a housefull of furinture and was thrilled that they all finally had their own beds.

"It was totally awesome I was completely overwhelmed because if it wasn’t for them they would have had to sleep on the floor,’" Hatfield said.

The Lifewell Furniture Banks needs all kinds of thngs from chairs to lamps but their biggest need are mattresses.

"We don’t want any child sleeping on the floor that’s kinda our motto, no child sleeps on the floor and it’s just breaks your heart to think that happens," Pastor Kobunski said.

Kobunski says they can’t keep up with the demand so they really need help from the community for donations and if you want to donate he makes it easy.

"We determined fom the very beginning we were going to pick the donations up for free," Kobunski said.

Crystal and her family are very greatful.

"Without this community they wouldn’t have had their own beds," she said.
