Local Contractor Receives National Honor

A local paving company tops the list as one of the best in the U.S.

For the 3rd year in a row, Zanesville’s own, Neff Paving and Concrete has been recognized as one of the top contractors in the nation. Along with 75 other contractors, Neff was honored for its financial stability and quality of work. The company has been serving the Zanesville community for 16 years, and president, Clint Berkfield, said business just continues to grow.

“We do a lot of different jobs that have created a lot of jobs for the area around here, too, we’ve hired quite a few people, we’ve grown every year, expect for ’08, and it looks like we’re in a good growth period right now,” Berkfield said.

Due to an increase in sales, the company recently expanded its services to Delaware, Ohio. Between both locations, sales have surpassed $5 million. Berkfield said the company’s success wouldn’t be possible without its employees.

“I feel that we are one of the top paving companies in out market, there are bigger companies, but for our niche’ we are one of the top, and it’s taken a while to get there, but it feels good to have all our guys,” Berkfield said.
