Local Fire Department hosts dinner in remembrance of Anastasia Zink

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- Locals gathered in remembrance of the tragic loss of a six-year-old girl today.
The Newton Township Fire Department hosted a spaghetti dinner in honor of Anastasia Zink who lost her life in a car accident just last month. Proceeds from the event will go to the mother of Anastasia, Stephanie Williams. Stephanie’s coworkers helped run the event today, including one organizer Chelsey Kelly.
“We have a spaghetti dinner, meatballs, rolls, a salad; we have a great bake sale, a huge silent auction and we have over a hundred items. We have a big wine basket, gift cards, movie baskets. So many people have donated its been awe-inspiring for sure.”
Kelly explains she was surprised and honored by all the local support.
“We’ve already had to add tables. We’ll probably have to make another run for some raffle tickets because we’ve just sold so many. We had no idea. I think every seat is full and it’s not even two o’clock we’ve been open an hour so it’s already a success.”
Kelly noted everything from the event was donated by members and businesses of the community.
