Local Man Creates A Zanesville Inspired Game
A group of friends recreated a classic board game to reflect their local community.
Eric Kearsh and 5 of his friends decided to make a Zanesville version of Monopoly. The game references plenty of local locations and cards filled with adult humor pertaining to the city.
"We used different boards.. like usually for free parking they have that car so we put the Y- Bridge there, instead of the railroads we have the local bars like Terry’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and then certain areas such as lthe utilities we have Time Warner Cable," said Kearsh.
The new game takes a light hearted spin on the traditional rules of the game.
" We decided to make it just fun and every aspect just beyond hilarious. We changed all the words around for like the chance card, community cards and get of jail free cards, " said Kearsh.
When asked Kearsh says that he only plans on having the original computer generated board in circulation .The intelligent group of boys included business majors engineers and a teacher. He says all people who have played are more invested in the hometown version.
