Local Pizza Shop Opening Soon

A new pizza place has plans to open in Duncan Falls within the next week.

Owner, Marcia Glaub has worked in the restaurant industry for many years, but this is the first time she’s owned one of her own. She laughs as she described the feeling of being on the ownership side of the table.

“I feel the pressure, I feel excitement, I feel anxiety, everything, just mixed emotions,” Glaub said. “The feedback is overwhelming but great obviously. The support down here is just great.”

Glaub purchased the building in September and has transformed it into Lock 9 Pizza. Now, after months of preparing, she said opening day is almost here.

She said, “it’s overwhelming because of the huge, positive response. [It’s] almost to the point where I feel, the word’s not afraid, the word is I know we’re going to get a rush all at once as soon as we open because so many people are anticipating it.”

She said opening day depends on the final preparations outside of the store, but they will be open for lunch and dinner as soon as they get the go ahead. Lock 9 is just south of the Philo bridge on Main Street in Duncan Falls.
