Local Veterans Receive Free Dental Care

Vets

Several local veterans received free dental care this weekend.

Which is a part of Aspen Dental’s the ‘Healthy Mouth Movement.’ Nearly 400 Aspen Dental locations offered complete complimentary dental care to veterans.

"We see so many patients and I think one of the big barriers to care, especially today is a financially barrier. It’s nice where we can have a day where we can remove those barriers. People can come in and see us, we can get them comfortable and take care of their oral health needs without that barrier of money keeping people from getting the care they need," said Dr. Peter Hara D.D.S, Dentist, Aspen Dental.

The movement began in 2014 and since then Aspen Dental serviced nearly 7,000 veterans.

"I think that’s such a huge community that’s under served really and they give so much for us everyday without us really being aware of it so being able to provide services for those individuals is super rewarding for us as an office but, is also helping them," said Dr. Hara.

A total of 4 million dollars has been donated by aspen dental for veterans dental care.
