Local Woman Pleads Guilty to Felonious Assault
A Zanesville woman pleads guilty to felonious assault charges stemming from a bar fight this past spring.
38-year-old Tonya Alexander appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Wednesday where she entered the plea before Judge Kelly Cottrill.
Assistant Prosecutor Bob Smith says on April 24th of this year Alexander was leaving an after hours club on West Main Street when she got into an altercation with another woman in the parking lot.
He says Alexander seriously injured the woman by biting her lip.
Judge Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence in the case.
She could face up to eight years in prison.
Alexander is being held in the Muskingum County Jail on a $100,000.
