Locals gather in an effort to end homelessness

Zanesville,Ohio- Locals gathered today at Christ’s Table in a continued effort to end homelessness in Zanesville.
The meeting this afternoon marked the second gathering and Executive Director of Christ’s Table Keely Warden explains that information gathered from their first meeting will be used to direct people to where help is needed.
“We did a data analysis of the gaps in services, what isn’t happening here in our community. We’ve taken those and tallied them up grouped them together if you will. Today we are going to ask people to step forward kinda vote with their feet with post it notes and go up to that area and let us know where they wanna help if they wanna help and what they can offer us.”
Warden notes going forward they hope to speak with the homeless to understand how to better help them.
“Next what we need to do is go to the street and talk with some of the homeless people that we work with every day and get their input on it. Maybe they are seeing gaps in services that we aren’t so that will be a next step also to get out there in the community and see what they feel we are missing.”
For anyone wanting to help that haven’t attended the meetings you can call Christ’s Table at 740-452-9766.
