Long Time Bakery Opening Tuesday
It’s taken eight years, but the Four Turns Baking Company is having its retail grand opening.
For years now Betsy Skrobot’s company has just sold wholesale and done special orders. But Tuesday morning she’s taking the plunge into the individual sale side of the bakery business. Skrobot said it’s a way to welcome customers to her business.
“For customers to see what we do and taste what we do it’s really important for them to come in, so Tuesdays we’ve decided to open the doors and have our freshly baked croissant which is our specialty, lot of different varieties, and some other things too,” Skrobot said.
Becoming a retail bakery is not Skrobot’s vision for Four Turns. She sees the business as being a wholesale bakery that allows people to get fresh baked goods cooked in their own kitchen. So to keep with the goal of being a wholesale bakery, Four Turns is only going to be open one day a week for retail sales.
“Every Tuesday we’ll be open from 7:30 until it sells out and that will hopefully become a regular in customers minds,” Skrobot said. “They’ll know Tuesday morning they can stop down to Four Turns Baking Company.”
Later this month the company will offer four hour cooking classes. To see when those will be you can visit the company’s website at fourturnsbakingco.com . Four Turns Baking Company is on 4th street right next to Treehouse Coffee Shop.
