Longtime Area Veterinarian Dies

A longtime Muskingum County Veterinarian has died. Dr Jack Wine of Frazeysburg passed away at Genesis Hospital on Saturday.   Dr Wine served in the United States Air Force from 1953 to 1955. He then started his 60 year career in animal medicine. Wine was an avid outdoorsman and loved working on his farm, hunting and boating. He was also a longtime member of the Zanesville Rotary Club. Calling hours will be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home at 110 West Third Street. The Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Frazeysburg United Methodist Church. Wine will be laid to rest at Irville Cemetery in Nashport.
