Longtime New Concord Business Is Acquired
A longtime New Concord Company has been bought out. This week Cerner Corporation bought Resource Systems – a 30-year-old business that specializes in data tracking for nursing homes and other long-term care settings. It is located at 140 South Friendship Drive. Cerner is a North Kansas City Electronic medical records company and says the move will help spread its reach into a lucrative area of the health care industry. Resource Systems leading product is called CareTracker. It helps facilities document different types of care and shares that data with other systems — notably for billing. Cerner says there are no immediate plans to move the New Concord employees from their Ohio offices. The purchase price was not announced. Co-owner and CEO Greg Adams says he will stay with the company until the end of July. He will then spend time with his family and look for other business opportunities. President and co-owner Larry Triplett will stay on with the new company in a leadership role.
