Los Angeles Guitar Quartet Visits Secrest

The Los Angeles Guitar Quartet filled Secrest Auditorium with their beautiful music Sunday.

Those who attended heard many different types of song. The concert was the last one featured in the 76th season. We spoke to the President of the Zanesville Concert Association, Janet Slack who told us how she thought the audience would perceive the performance.

“Oh I think they’ll be delighted. It’s a different kind of concert than we’ve had so far this year.”

There was no ticket cost but rather, a membership that was sold for $65 dollars. The membership included all four concerts in one packet. Slack says if they came for just today it was offered at a reduced price of 20 dollars. Slack says these events are great for keeping local arts flourishing.

“They keep the arts alive in our community and our community’s very good to support the arts and we’ve been really lucky for 76 years, the Zanesville Concert Sssociation has brought top notch, world renowned groups to our area and these are concerts that you’ll have to go at least to Columbus or Cleveland or Cincinnati to see and we have them right here in Zanesville.”

The Zanesville Concert Association invites you to take part in the 77th annual season, beginning Saturday, October 3rd.
