Louella Smith (June 9, 1916 – April 21, 2011)

Louella Smith, 94, of Zanesville, passed away at 12:15 PM Thursday April 21, 2011 at Autumn Healthcare of Zanesville.
She was born June 9, 1916 in High Hill – Muskingum County, Ohio the daughter of the late Noah W. and Martha Patton James. Louella was a homemaker and member of First Free Methodist Church for 75 years. She enjoyed crafts, gardening, flowers and spending time with her family.

Louella is survived by her daughters: Jean Ann Riggle of Orange Park, FL and Joy Sue (Phil) Wymer of Zanesville, grandchildren: Kevin Pieper, Kent Pieper, Kurt Pieper, Robert Riggle, Joan Adams and Alesia Fowler, 12 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren and a sister: Florence Sletzer of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: Kenneth R. Smith who died June 2, 1997, 3 sisters Mariam and Revella James and an infant sister. She is also preceded in death by 4 brothers Marcellus, Carl, Gilbert and John Hobart James and a son-in-law Robert Riggle.

Visitation for Louella will be 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday, April 28th at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. and 10:00 AM till time of service at 11:00 AM Friday, April 29th at the Funeral Home with Louella’s Nephew Rev. Daniel L. Garrett officiating . The committal service will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
