Low Gas Prices Great For Holiday Travel

Gas prices have remained low for several weeks now. Which means good things for your holiday travel plans.

For those of you packing up your car to spend Christmas in another city, the best sight you may see along the way will be the low gas prices.

"Yeah they’re really good for travel, and I think more people will travel where they need to go," said Columbus native Ashley Kidwell.

We came across one traveler who was particularly happy about the lower gas prices. He and his family were traveling from Kansas City, Missouri to Delaware to spend Christmas with their family. That’s over one thousand miles of travel.

"Oh yeah, I get so excited. I get all the way to the top and i’m like, yes my wallets not in pain so it’s good," said Isaac Henges.

Gas prices are down twenty-two cents since last week and down over a dollar from this time last year. Gas in Zanesville is selling for as low as $2.07.
