Lynn Bond Reduction Denied

The Zanesville man charged with 27 counts of sexual misconduct tried to get his 500,000 dollar bond reduced during a hearing today in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

43-year-old Michael Lynn went before Judge Kelly Cottrill.

Assistant Muskingum County Prosecutor Bob Smith says the Attorney for Lynn told the Judge his client was a local guy, with a good job and a loving family and therefore his bond should be reduced to a more manageable number.

Smith said he told the judge that the alleged crimes are so bad the court should not grant the request.

Judge Cottrill denied the motion.

Lynn is charged with 12 counts of rape, 12 counts of sexual battery and three counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

Lynn is being held in the Muskingum County Jail.
