Make a Pawsitive Impact on the Community
ZANESVILLE, OH – This weekend you can have a Pawsitive Impact on the community by heading down to Imlay’s Florists.
Imlay’s Florists have decided to partner up with the Animal Shelter Society to host the Pawsitive Impact Drive this Saturday from 10AM to 1PM.
Katie Imlay, the owner of Imlay’s, said the idea to host this drive was a collaborative effort with her Manager, Donna Evans.
“In January we kind of sit down and decide what our community service projects look like,” Imlay said. “And, Donna came up with this drive for the Animal Shelter.”
“We are all animal lovers here,” Evans said. “So I just thought it would be a great opportunity for us to come and do that.”
April Gibson, Executive Director of the Animal Shelter Society, said some of the items they are in most need of are liquid laundry detergent, copier paper, and bleach that is splash less and non-scented. She also said she’s thankful to have community partners like Imlay’s that believe in the Animal Shelter Society’s mission.
“It’s not just the monetary donations that comes in to run our 100% non-profit, it’s the community and the folks who believe in us,” Gibson said. “That means Dave and Katie Imlay, they believe in our mission and what we’re doing and that speaks volumes.”
In addition to the drive, Imlay’s will also have door prizes, giveaways, and specials on their pet items. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet some very special guests, the Animal Shelter Society will be bringing their Ambassador named Tess and Imlay Florists own shop cat named Halley.
