Man Assaulted Overnight

Zanesville Police are investigating a man that said he was assaulted in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Lt. Bill Shaw said around 2:00 Thursday morning a call came in from a Putnam Avenue home that there was a man there that had been beaten, robbed and stabbed near the Schaum Avenue area.

The victim then had walked to Putnam Avenue.

Upon investigation it was found that the man was not stabbed, but he is being treated for minor wounds due to an assault
