Man Killed in Coshocton County Accident
A West Lafayette man is dead following an accident Wednesday in Coshocton County.
According to the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, it happened in the 20,000 block of County Road 124. Â The sheriff’s office says a pickup truck driven by 44-year-old Bryan T. Thornsburg of West Lafayette was northbound on County Road 124 when he went left of center and struck a southbound vehicle driven by 33-year-old David J. Phillabaum of Coshocton.
Thornsburg was pronounced dead at the scene, and Phillabaum was flown from the scene by MedFlight. Phillabaum’s passenger, 16-year-old Ryan A. Buker was treated on scene and released to his father.  All involved in the accident were wearing their seatbelts.
The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office, Coshocton County EMS, the Ohio State Highway Patrol, West Lafayette Fire Department, REACT, MedFlight, and Coshocton County Coroner’s Office all assisted at the scene. Â The accident remains under investigation.
