Man Sentenced for Growing Pot

A Zanesville man receives two years community control for growing marijuana.

45-year-old Andrew Mohler Junior received his sentence from Judge Mark Fleegle Tuesday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court.

Mohler had pled guilty to a third-degree-felony charge of cultivation of marijuana and a fourth-degree-misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana after authorities found marijuana growing in his Schwallie Avenue yard last August.

For the felony charge Judge Fleegle sentenced him to two years community control, ordered him to perform 150 hours of community service and complete a Men’s Intervention Program. He sentenced him to 60 days in jail on the second charge, but suspended them as long as Mohler follows all of the other terms and conditions properly.
