Many gather for the 17th annual Veterans’ Day Parade

ZANESVILLE, Ohio- There was a huge turn out in downtown Zanesville for the 17th annual Veterans’ Day Parade.
The parade kicked off at 10 a.m. with the Star Spangled Banner. The Zanesville Police Department, Muskingum County Sheriff Office, and the Zanesville Fire Department lead the parade.
“It feels wonderful because everybody showing up that was suppose to,” Muskingum County Veterans Council, President, Jeffory Dittmar said. “That’s what makes it gratifying for me.”
Veterans from the army, air force and marines were all represented Saturday.
“We as soldiers did our very best to keep America free. Hopefully a lot of them will see that this is what they ought to be doing some of them down the road,” Dittmar said.
Music for Saturday’s parade was provided by West Muskingum and Zanesville high school bands.
