Maple Ave. Accident Injures One
An injury on Maple Avenue sends one to the hospital this evening.
It happened about 7:30 this evening.
According to Lt. Tony Coury of the Zanesville Police Department, a blue Chevy Lumina was traveling southbound on Maple Avenue in the turning lane. He says another car, a silver Mitzubishi had just turned off a side street and was traveling north on Maple, attempting to get into the turning lane.
Coury says the driver of the silver car didn’t see the on-coming vehicle and the two hit head-on.
One person was transported to the hospital, complaining of neck pain.
He says the driver of the silver car will be cited for improper lane change.
