Marjorie G. Ridenour
Marjorie G. Ridenour, 99, of Gratiot, passed away at 10:15 P.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at her home. She was born December 30, 1917, in Pleasant Valley, Ohio a daughter of the late Samuel L. and OIive Higinbottom Francis. She graduated from Hopewell School in 1935 and also graduated from Meredith Business College. Marjorie worked at the Draft Board for WWII, the Eagles and at the Newark Air Force Station as a division secretary. She was a member of the former Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a huge Cleveland Cavaliers Fan.
Surviving are a daughter, Joan C. Miller of Gratiot and a step-son, Thomas L. Ridenour; two grandchildren, Lori Miller and Chris J. (Lisa) Miller; a great grandchild, Michelle (Jim) Kang; and two step-grandchildren, Brenda Miller and Randy Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Clyde Gallogly and Thomas “Bill” Ridenour; a brother, John C. Francis and a sister, Florence R. McClain; a great nephew, Kevin Louders; a great niece, Gloria McClain; also her beloved pets, Miss Kitty, Tommy and Barney.
Friends and family may call from 2-5 Sunday, November 19, 2017 at BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVEUE, ZANESVILLE, where services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, November 20, 2017 with Mr. Jeff Iden officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Cemetery, Nashport, Ohio.
